It has been scientifically proved that the sperm of a boy lives for 12 hours whereas the egg of a girl lives for 72 hours. And, 15th day is the most probable day of getting pregnant if you do sex without any protection. It means sex should be avoided for 72 hours before the 15th day of the 28 days menstrual cycle. Apart from these measures, it is better to use condoms or take pills for avoiding unwanted pregnancy.
